Management System Certifications
GEM office in Dubai, UAE, has been certified for ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001:2004 Environment Management System (EMS) as an integrated system with the International Safety Management (ISM) code.
ISO certifications demonstrate GEMs reputation as an effective and environmentally sound player in the tanker industry.
The scope of these certifications include 'Operational and technical management of a fleet of petroleum and chemical tankers, trading worldwide incorporating the pollution prevention requirements of the IMO Resolution A 741(18) - The ISM Code'.
The initial verification audits of GEM were conducted by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance - the leading certification body who is recognized by the Accreditation Councils worldwide.
Both ISO 9001-2000 QMS and ISO 14001-2004 EMS certification are internationally recognized credentials that are awarded to companies who meet or exceed a standard for continually improving quality and environmental performance.
